How to Choose Homepage Slug? /Yoast Problem

Hello Bhw. I have a newbie question.

I build an import website which I will sell wholesale goods from manufacturers. I want to make a Seo friendly Homepage.

Yoast tells me I need to use keyword in slug.

The problem is I like to have a Homepage without slug or at least just /home.

The question is my keyword is ‘export supplier’ does not contain ‘Home’ or anything connected with keywords.

What do you do for your Homepage? Do you just not pay attention Yoast?

Keep your homepage on root if possible. Having a slug with keywords is not going to make or break your seo efforts.

idk it could be my personal preference , but i like Rankmath more :3

Like all plugins they only offer general advice.
From a branding perspective would you prefer your homepage to be https://domain.com/ or https://domain.com/some-keyword-here/ ? I know my preference.

You don't have to always follow the advice of yoast. Even they themselves made this article.
