I want to start an adult video tube site.
I registered a domain name. After registration, I used the ahrefs tool to find out that this domain name is not new.
How can I determine if it has been punished by Google? Should I continue to use it or re-register a new domain name?

It is not penalized. All its old pages are still indexed.

If you have long term business vision, choose fresh domain . If you want to take short term link building advantage you can go for expiring domains.

It is important to check on Google if it has penalized this website before assuming the worst. However, I strongly recommend starting with a new domain.

Thank you for your reply. I only found out that it is not new after registering. I want to know if the domain name in the screenshot will not be included by Google because it has been punished.

Thanks! I don't know how to check whether the domain name in the screenshot has been penalized by Google. I will try the above method. Do you know of other ways to check?

Here you go, site:yoursite.com

Well, if the old urls are still indexed, it shouldn't be penalized, otherwise they wouldn't appear at all, maybe.

Also, you could try to add the domain to the "google webmaster console" (google it), and see if it's throwing any warnings there. There's a section to add the domain itself, without the need to add it as http, https, www, not www, and all versions. Add the domain itself and it will cover all versions.

Also... there are website that analyze your backlink profile and show your spam score... try to google "seo detox website"
