How to check whether a domain is not registered before?

Got banned in adwords for the domain I purchased was permanently suspended due to the previous owner violated the rules. This domain was purchased in godaddy. So how do I check whether it was registered before?

Use this to check : www.web.archive.org. You can check a domain's past content as it is indexed, if the past content is bad, don't take it.
