how to check proxy is ipv4 or ipv6?

if only give you one proxy? how do you know it is ipv4 or ipv6?
any link to check it out ?

IPv4 = 10.304.203.22 format
IPv6 = 2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334. Format.

The only different in laymens terms is IPv6 has many more characters to it.
