How to check my Ads search ranking

Google's preview diagnostic tool doesn't seem to work properly.

As a result, I've been doing manual searches to visually check ad rankings.

Lately, I've been seeing a lot of ads (sponsors) that don't show up at all, just one or two at the bottom.

Any tips on how to see all ads for a current keyword through manual searches?
