How to check a websites traffic?

I used one plugin what call " visitor traffic pro " partly I noticed once I update the theme the google analytics seem don't work anymore despite the code is inside the theme. I ask before , some members told me is like that, once you update the theme , google analytics might not be working , need to re insert the code. I don't want to always meddle around the theme , so use that plugin.

you can use ahrefs, Semrush, similar web,Alexa etc for check the traffic of a website

Well this is an old thread but in case you're not convinced yet here's my +1 for "there's no way to" unless you access their analytics.

Most tools like ahrefs and semrush estimate traffic based on kw's but they can't know how much is mobile or desktop.

imo theres no way to know unless you hack their stat panel

plug your best websites into those free traffic tools like similarweb. you'll find it's wildly inaccurate. theyre only good for guestimating those websites in the millions of monthly traffic...which allows for decent margin of error.
 
As said above, I use similarweb firefox extension or you can also use it's website.
 
Ahrefs or semrush, but they are usually showing 2-3x less than the reality.
