How To change post background from white to transparent?

If any of you have the time I would greatly appreciate help/an attempt to help me with a problem I have been trying to solve for some time now.

I have looked on the wordpress forums but have come back unsuccessful.

I am trying to get this websites post background (The white part) to become transparent so the Background shows through.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Open it on Photoshop and then use the Tool "Magic Eraser Tool" and point it on the white background and remember to save it in .PNG format so that it won't lose transparency.

Forgive me as im rather ignorant to website editing, how would I open it on photoshop?
