"your profile contains a link trkur.com that is not allowed."
i shortened it with goo.gl, and cloaked it in iframe (<frame src=""..) and put the html file on my site.

is there a way to make it pass IG detection of the domain?

You probably will have to make a landing page since IG crawls the shortened links . (or try a redirect?)

    Very interesting question.
In theory you need to detect the requests from Instagram/Facebook crawlers and redirect them to any safe webpage that won't make you suspicious. But I heard in practice people tried to do that and have no luck with it. Still don't know what cause the problem, but in theory it should work. Maybe crawlers/spiders can detect that you are redirecting them?

more than likely, you can try blocking them too, but it can be detected as well :)

usually LPs are the solutions for these kind of problems, most of the time an LP is better than direct linking anyway, there are offers which don't even allow direct linking

it would only boost the detection, wrap it with copper instead..... ==a

OP you should find a way to make your domain whitelisted instead of cloak them / by pass / hide them.....

    make it whitelisted

sounds like an interesting programing practice. however, i have yet to make a penny from IG. it's not going to be worth my time for now.

LP wont work either. IG still sees it.

all offers from my CPA company use trk.com (which is not even trkur.com). i guess i'll just have to use other companies for IG.

I'm having the same issue with facebook. Once facebook blocked a domain, it will block any domain that redirect to it. Tried iframing, and cloaking with URL shorterner, still doesn't work. I even tried doing double redirect, they instantly block all domain that I'm using for redirect.

How would you white list a domain?

I had originally thought that landing pages were just a page on your site where you sell someone. I'm now realizing that it's it separate domain? Is that correct + what causes a website domain to get blacklisted/why wouldn't the landing page domain get blacklisted?

What do you use to cloak the affiliate link on LP?

Instead of iframing (or combined with and before iframing) try using a redirect maybe with a meta refresh on your domain. Then short link that as well, you might be just one layer away never know ;)

Also it is possible that your domain is blacklisted as well and that even if u have a clean landing page it may be getting blocked or reviewed because of significant past complaints or heavy posting/spam.

You need to create a custom redirect script that does the following:

    1) Checks the user agent and 301 redirects bots and other undesirables to something innocuous.

    2) Disallows HEAD requests.

    3) 302 redirects real users to your target location.

No iframes or other techniques necessary.

Cloaking links is based mostly on IP Addresses, Referral URLs and User Agents. There are different type of "cloakers" people use, such as blocking whole countries or cities to prevent the crawlers to see their website etc. However, Facebook exists for years and so does their Facebook Ads, which have been abused a LOT by tons of people and they've got tons of experience how to prevent that imo. So, making a cloaker that actually "works" will take a LOT of time and money, because Instagram will use different user-agents, IP addresses, countries and re-crawl your link from time to time.

Unfortunately, for facebook, meta refresh and shorterner won't work for blocked link. Not sure with IG though. Sorry forgot the thread is about IG, not FB, my bad.
