How to buy bitcoin anonymously

I think you have enough answers regarding bitcoin, but I'd like to chip in another angle. As bitcoin is so volitile, and you could end up losing loads, why not invest it in something? If you're making that much, why not buy property in cash, no mortgage, commercial or residential? Money is out of the bank, and can make regular income if you rent it out.

Mine some bitcoins may be?

I already own two houses which are rented out and tbh... with new tax changes here it's not what it's hyped up to be 90% of landlords here will be at a net loss per year by 2020

I've found a news article saying they zipzap introduce buying bitcoins at paypoints but can't find anything more than the news article anyone know anything about it?

Usually when you invest in btc only put 10% of the money you have in your bank account. In that sense if everything goes to shit you don't really have to give that much of a thought. Then again that's my crypto thinking.

Me personally can only see cryptocurrencies going up in value. Governments will never be able to control them. However I can see the governments blocking websites like localbitcoins like they do with torrent websites. They can block websites but they can't block the actual system.

Only way I see BTC crashing massively is if there's some sort of blanket ban and the USA government makes it punishable by imprisonment

Similar to gold aslong as people want it it should go up long term

Wow that sucks. Where are you if I might ask? The market's changing here in the UK, but it only affects those who have a mortgage, as the tax breaks are on the mortgage, so owning it outright would still be profit (but smaller due to income tax etc.). Must be a pretty high tax rate to end up net loss.

I'm actually in uk.

Most landlords have a mortgage which is what the issue is.

Due to mortgage interest rates being so low I mortgaged out all my properties and invested money in bonds.

Mortgage rate 2%

Bond rate 8-12%

But since they have changed the tax system for this now I have to either up my rent which I don't want to do I'm fair to my tenants or.. take out a lot of money from my bond which would cause tax implications to pay off mortgage.

So I'm just going to operate at 5-10% loss but technically it isn't really that much off a loss as my bond interest rate kinda counteracts it

But it definitely isn't that profitable to be a landlord these days

Ahh I get you. My original point was to just buy property, leave all the money tied up in it, make some beer tokens from rent, and have the value still as an asset in the end - Mortgaging for bonds is a pretty aggressive strategy!

Looks like Localbitcoin and pay in cash is the only real way. You might be able to fiddle it with BTC tumbling services, although the money still has to get in there.

P.S. I'd be super wary of investing it all in BTC. Could make a killing, could make a loss, could end up sitting on them and can't sell them. If you run out of people via Localbitcoin, maybe gold might be a way to keep it out of the banks?

I considered gold. But here if you buy more than 10,000 worth of gold in a year your reported to the government.

What happened in 1900s when the government of USA knew who owned gold?

They came and seized it all...

Not a safe bet when ww3 could break out any minute with the shit going on between North Korea etc

Anyone used mistertango?

Aparinately I can use western union to send it to mistertango via IBAN and then they convert the money into bitcoin for me.

Not sure about how they verify you at the moment or I read someone saying they just do a video chat system

I think you should tone it down a bit with the governement paranoia, yes it is true that the governement knows what we do but reality is we can't do anything about it. To me it sounds like the money you're trying to convert to bitcoins is illegal. Because if it was legal you could just buy bitcoins through localbitcoins like alot of people do. Since you live in the UK and not a random country like Uganda or any 3rd world country, I believe you can use exchanges and just buy bitcoins normally. Also we already gave you some tips on where to buy bitcoins, but honestly i don't think that anything you do will be 100% anonymously. Even if you use tor or any vpn, if a government wants you, like the US, they WILL find you. It doesn't matter what anyone says, nothing is 100% anonymous in the internet.

You can hide yourself for some time but eventually they will find you. The internet was made by the army, you don't think they have the keys to the backdoor?

just buy bitcoins normally and don't try to find a way which is 100% anonymous because there isnt one. Just being realistic here.

I hear people always saying bitcoin is anonymous.

But how really?

I'm interested in putting all my savings into bitcoin rather than local currency as I am very anti government. Dont trust them with my savings at all as I'm sure many others are.

I see the only way to buy without a paper trail would be with cash.

Standing at a bitcoin ATM trying to shove 2-3 grand into the machine would look very dodgy so probably wouldn't be a good idea.

What would be the best way for me to do this?

And what would be the best way to store the bitcoins?

Also as as seperate question if anyone believes I should be buying a different crypto currency instead I'd love to hear your reasons why
Cheers
Bitcoin isn't anonymous anymore... governments can easily track down your transactions, it used to be anonymous when it was new but now everyone knows about it and government hackers will easily find you

I'm not doing anything illegal to warrant people specifically hiring hackers to find me. I just want what little money I have managed to save over the years to be out of the hands of other people when the world goes to shit :) i reckon buying on local bitcoins without ID will be enough

you must by prepairad credit card first after fill up money find some localbitcoin sellers and pay them fror bitcoin. after go to blender btc and mix them. nobody will trace you have this bitcoin or not

stop making such an easy task of buying bitcoins into a problematic shitfest. Just buy bitcoins normally through an exchange or localbitcoins, jeez.

I have a LocalBitCoin service where I would be happy to sell it to you anonymously....within reason of course!

Go to any bitcoins site, the step by step is explained there. You can start from there.
