how to build links the right way?

hey folks,
I have adult video and picture site which i started 2 months ago, I have uploaded around 350 videos and 600 pictures and also did on page seo. but not much progress in traffic. So i thought of spreading links around social media pages. got few people visiting. but not much again. how can i get backlinks which increase my traffic and rank ? Also its quite difficult in adult seo to build links ( or so i have seen). Please if anyone can guide me through this i would be grateful. much grateful!
