The Hook

"We’ve all seen it: a beautiful website that generates absolutely zero leads. In 2026, the gap between a 'pretty' site and a 'profitable' site is wider than ever. I’ve spent the last few years auditing hundreds of designs, and I wanted to share the 3 core pillars I use to ensure every pixel serves a purpose."

High-Value Insights (The "Meat")

Pillar 1: Speed is the New SEO
If your LCP (Largest Content full Paint) is over 1.2s, you’re bleeding money.
Tip: Use WebP/AVIF formats exclusively and aggressive lazy loading for off-screen elements.
Pillar 2: The "F-Pattern" is Dead
With mobile traffic dominating, focus on the Z-pattern and "Thumb-Zone" accessibility.
Keep your CTAs (Call to Actions) centered and within easy reach of a single-hand grip.
Pillar 3: Micro-Interactions
Small animations when a user hovers over a button or fills a form field increase perceived quality and trust.

The "Community Value" (The Soft Sell)

"I’m looking to give back to the BHW community and sharpen my own portfolio for some new niches.
I am offering a Free UI/UX Mini-Audit for the first 5 people who comment below. Just drop your niche (no links yet, please keep it clean!), and I’ll PM you my thoughts on how to improve your conversion flow."

Solid tips!
What tools do you use to A/B test landing page elements for optimization?

Great thread with some actionable tips on optimizing website design for conversions. I particularly liked the emphasis on speed and mobile accessibility. For A/B testing landing page elements, I've had good experiences with tools like VWO and Unbounce - but I'm curious to hear from others, what are some of your go-to tools for testing and optimization? Also, I'd love to learn more about how you apply the Z-pattern and Thumb-Zone accessibility principles in your designs, can you share some examples or resources on that?

Thanks! I usually go with VWO or Unbounce for quick A/B tests. For smaller tweaks, pairing GA4 with Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity works well to spot issues before testing

I'd like to see what you think of the casino niche, since all the mid range crypto casinos use the same layouts. Do you guys think that it's the best layout for casinos or is it just a copy-paste of competitor pages?

I think it’s mostly because those layouts are already proven to convert, so casinos don’t want to take risks. A lot of copy-paste for sure, but players are used to it and trust familiar layouts

Makes sense, but i guess that even with a different layout, if the website proves to be "unique" and different from others, a different layout would benefit the indirect SEO conversions. Since users may not remember the brand, but will do so with the page layout because its different. At least that's my perspective.

Is Microsoft Clarity on par with Hotjar?

I'm having trouble with some of the products I'm selling, I've generated conversions, but the conversion value is low. What should I do? What optimizations do I need to make?

Good points, page speed and simple CTA placement really make big difference in conversions.
