I have been lurking bhw for quite some time now, but never really posted anything. If this is the wrong forum to post this in, please let me know where this question would be applicable to post.
Anyway, I was wondering if any of you have some experience with building/growing communities for multiplayer servers such as Minecraft, Rust, GTA, etc..
Currently, I am hosting an Ark Survival Evolved PVP server via Nitrado with some of my friends. However, we would like to increase the amount of active players.
What we already did:
- Posted our server details on relevant subreddits, forums, etc...
- Word-of-mouth via steam, discord.
- Signed up for server tracking sites such as ark-servers.net, etc..
We are also considering paying for advertising on a couple of these server tracking websites. But, we're unsure if top positions on these site will increase our "conversion" rate.
If you have any ideas, I would love to hear from you.
