One of the best Reddit posts of all time. Thanks for linking. I still feel the need to read No More Zero Days occasionally.

It's a nice article, however, i have the opposite problem. I got stuck into doing too many things at the same time, and i just want to do nothing for a week. I can afford to do nothing, but then i'm restless, and can't stop thinking how i'm becoming shitty average person who finds excuses in everything, how i am losing my competitive edge, how young kids are smarter than me and will take my place. I guess i'm troubled individual. We all are. When i'm lazy i feel shitty for not working, when i'm working i feel depressed for not resting more. It's impossible to be balanced.

At the end of the day only you are responsible for yourself. If you choose to believe these things then before you know it, your brain adjusts to your mentality and it becomes a fact. Both action and inactivity are results of our decisions in life. It's only impossible to be balanced because you believe it to be so. Your preconceived notions are the problem. As we age it becomes more and more difficult to change, because we are used to living a certain way. It could even be our life experience that is causing us trouble. Instead of adapting to each and every situation, we tell ourselves, "but I know what's best for myself." Well, do you really?

I know that the person I am now is not the person I'll be 5-10 years later, because every decision I make changes me.
