Hi guys,
There's only one hurdle to be on top of the page...and that is wikipedia!
How can I beat the wikipedia page ranking?
Hi,
What is the On-Site SEO for the wikipedia page? If it's poor, then use that to your advantage and keep adding more content related to the keyword and add quality backlinks. If it has good On-Site SEO the do the rest; add quality contents and backlinks.

can't beat wikipedia because google give much priority to wikipedia of their trustworthiness and reputation.

Wrong! Most of the Wikis are just Floater pages and it means, we can beat them by just getting about 100-200 Backlinks, some with varying PR.
I know this because we have been doing this for a lot of our clients

I have surpassed a wikipedia page with one of my sites, so your statement is wrong. Also, don't be surprised to see some of them contain wrongful information thus on the trustworthiness and reputation is another debate to me.

If SEO guru said that, then that must be true.
Lets all just quit SEO and stop trying to rank sites. Wikipedia wins.
Jokes aside:
If I see Wikipedia near top, it means keyword is very rankable.
Simply drop a lot of PR4+ backlinks, mixed anchor/non-anchor and you are done.
You are ALWAYS able to outrank Wikipedia, as long as you not rank for keyword "Wikipedia" etc

Another way is to delete the anchors that points to that page in other wikipedia pages, you have to do it slowly. There's a dedicated WSO to outrank wikipedia. Generally quality backlinks will do the work.
The On-site SEO is quite good, its a v. active and vibrant page and the all the keywords are in its place too and some places, there is also more info than my site.
So my plan of attack is:
1 - Make sure I cover ATLEAST everything that's covered in wiki page.
2 - Take the above and make it even better than Wiki page
3 - Backlinks.
Issue I feel could wiki has everyone on one page, while my site has things categorized and info spread out accordingly to different pages, you think this could be an issue? How can I beat that! :S

Beating wikipedia is a tough battle. I'm not saying it's not possible but there are millions of keywords for which wiki is ranking top in Google. So if you beat them in one, nothing would be felt.

I belive it stands for Warrior Special Offer. It's a section on the WarriorForum that sellers can post deals with discounts for members. Typically E-Books and Software.

*buzzer sound* WRONG ! Keep building high pr backlinks on a constate rate and you`ll be fine.
