RepostSleuthBot and MAGIC_EYE_BOT seem to be everywhere and I have a selection of like 50 videos I upload but these get it removed everytime.

How do I beat them?

Yeah, those bots are relentless lol. I had the same issue with RepostSleuthBot and MAGIC_EYE_BOT nuking my posts every time. What helped for me was making small edits to the videos — like trimming a second off, changing the aspect ratio a bit, or adding a really subtle filter or border. Just enough to throw off whatever detection they’re using.
Also, try reposting in smaller subs first instead of going straight to the big ones. If it sticks there, it’s less likely to trigger anything when you scale it.
I’ve got a batch of like 40-50 videos too, so I started running them through HandBrake to reset the metadata and tweak a few things automatically. Way less headaches now.

do you think a watermark would be a big enough change?

Re-encoding at a different bitrate sometimes fools the bots.

Yeah, a watermark can help, but on its own it might not be enough — especially if the bot is using frame hashing or audio fingerprinting to detect reposts. If you’re going that route, make sure the watermark isn’t just a transparent logo in the corner; try something dynamic or animated, even if it’s subtle.

That said, combining a small watermark with a few other tweaks (like trimming, slight zoom, color shift, or metadata wipe via HandBrake) usually gives you a better shot at dodging detection. Think of it like layering small changes to fly under the radar.
Want help building an automated pipeline to batch-edit your videos with stuff like this?

sure but I dont really have any idea on this stuff

You need to change the videos little bit like change the speed, add noises or text to them. This can help to avoid them getting removed. Also, try to upload different types of videos to see what works.

As I understand, these two bots only work to prevent images reposted, they don’t work for videos, am I missing something?

No worries man, it’s not as complicated as it sounds once you get a feel for it. I can help you set up a basic pipeline using HandBrake CLI or FFMPEG to batch-edit your videos. You just point it to a folder, and it’ll automatically trim, add a watermark, tweak colors a bit, and strip metadata. It doesn’t have to be fancy, just enough to confuse the bots. If you’re down, I’ll throw together a simple guide you can follow in like 10–15 minutes.

Trim, crop, or zoom the video.

Add filters, overlays, or text captions.

Change the speed by ~3–5%.

Frame Interference

Add one or two frames at the beginning or end.

Alter brightness/contrast slightly.

Flip horizontally (though some bots catch this now).

Use Re-Encoding Tools

Re-render the video using tools like HandBrake or FFMPEG with compression tweaks.

Change resolution/aspect ratio slightly.

Make Unique Variants

Create a new intro or reaction.

Edit in commentary (turn it into a “reaction video” or “meme review” type).

sure I would love to learn, I tried handbrake and added a boarder last night

magic eye does video thumb nails from what I learnt

If you're referring to RepostSleuthBot and MAGIC_EYE_BOT on platforms like Reddit, these are automated bots that detect reposted or AI-generated content, often flagging and reporting it for removal. Don’t just reupload popular videos unchanged. Don’t try to "trick" the bots by spamming slight edits.
Create original or substantially modified content. Use different thumbnails and metadata (for sites that use them).

A lot of great advice on here, there's a lot of free tools here on BHW that do this if you look thoroughly.
