how to be succesfull on youtube

Plan out your videos in advance and make several, post them once or twice a week but stick to a regular schedule.

Find out who the big players in your niche are and set up Instagram, twitter etc and follow their subscribers. You might want to boost your initial videos with paid views to make your channel more appealing.

Start a blog where you can post articles about what your video covers and use SEO to boost both.

Practice using green screen before committing to using it, it may not seem like much extra work but when you have to do it for every video the time adds up quickly.

Youtubers often link to their social accounts on their 'about' page. Failing that try searching for their channel name directly.

And occasionally on BlackHatWorld you read something very useful, thanks Faldor! I'm also going to put lots of content I know the followers will like. I've just been trying adwords to go channel but it worked out 20 subscribers for 12 dollars spent and that's with polished content

A friend of Mine is running a successfull channel on yt with over 100k subs and 16 Mio views. The best advice I can give you is to upload as much as you can. When he startet to upload Every 2nd day a Video yt gave him a push and he made over 30k subs in one week!
When was this and what niche?

The thing with YouTube is that your niche really matters. I've seen a guy on YouTube who makes parody song videos, and he is incredibly talented at it. I truly enjoy watching and laughing at his videos. He puts in tons of work yet a video I had about a stupid Windows glitch had more views than any of his.

My video was maybe a minute and a half long, recorded with camtasia, and I literally typed instructions on how to reproduce it on a notepad live in the video lol. It was a piece of shit video with over 100k views, and actually lead me to my first google check.

Now I'm way past creating terrible videos, and I also have lots of experience with a green screen. They are a lot of fun, and with the right software it doesn't take much time at all. Lighting can be an issue you may run into but easily resolved. Just be sure you can commit to the channel for a long time as it may take a long time for it to really take off.

As many others have said, content is really king in yt. Beyond that I would say blackhat isn't very effective when it comes to yt.
