Hey guys, I've read this good thread here: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...70074-self-improvement-become-better-you.html
and we all know time is money, so I've decided to write more about some productivity tips here.
I've been struggling with this problem for a long time and I'm working better every day since I've been using some productivity tips and TO lists.

Time Management is the key to help you to reach your goals!

Here some tips for you, if you have others you can post here below:

    1) GET UP EARLY (5 or 6 AM) this is important, you need to work hard since it's morning. If you want go for a walk or do a workout, don't check your phone or social media and in the first hour of the morning visualize the plan of the day and what you need to do then start taking action immediately from the hardest task (Read Eat that frog from Brain Tracy and remember The Pareto Principle 80/20).
To get up early every morning, reach your goals and stay motivated, you must have a "Why and Purpose everyday", ask yourself, What I need to do? When to do it? Where to do it? How much time would I need to complete the task? Then work on the most important/hard thing as soon as possible to get it done!

    2) STAY HEALTHY and WORKOUT EVERYDAY: this is very important to do, if you are not in shape, you can't really work well. I prefer to workout in the evening, but in the morning is good as well. Eat good, don't buy fast food, eat more vegetables, fruits etc and workout every day, you'll be more productive= more money.

    3) PLAN YOUR NEXT DAY IN THE EVENING (you need 10 min), write always 3MIT (most important tasks) to get done in the next day, you will start every new day from the First MIT (the hardest task to do since morning ==> urgency).
Second Mit is less important ( but you need to get it done before it's evening), Third Mit is not really important and you can get it done in the evening.

    4) You must read Getting things done by David Allen this is the best book so far for Time management.

    5) Always KEEP A REAL NOTEBOOK with you (not virtual) where you can write Ideas on a paper (no virtual distractions), but if you prefer you can still use your smartphone (Google Calendar or Evernote).
UseThe Pomodoro timer app ( I use Pomotodo.com) to help you to complete tasks, first decide which task you need to get it done and decide how much time you would need for it then take action! Use a "X" when you've completed a task or with the pomodoro timer (about 25min for each task)

    6) If you work with internet, use APPs to block BS and time wasting websites like social media.

    7) Always think TIME IS MONEY because it's true.
Oneclever guy once told me this: think how much value can you provide to clients/people in one hour? How much is your value in one hour? If for example your value is 100$ per hour, wasting 10 minutes browsing crap on social media, you have just lost about 16$ of your time. You can do the same example when you buy an Item, you've paid the item trading your time making money to buy the item. Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money working harder but you can't get your time back.

    8) BE MOTIVATED when working if not, do something else, then start working again!

    9) SAY NO to negative people and crap, if you need to work hard, first get tasks done. So turn off your phone and social media (if you don't need it for work). Don't tell yourself "I don't have enough time", but ask: "What are my priorities in my job/life?" "What I need to get done as soon as possible?". Choose which are your
priorities, don't complain and don't be lazy but start doing!

    10) KEEP ANOTHER PERSONAL NOTEBOOK, write it (15 min) in the evening after you've planned the next day.
You need to write all about yourself so about personal improvement, health, work, what you've done and what you've learned from mistakes and what to do next time in a better way.
Once a week review your personal notebook and you can ask questions about you and how you are improving yourself to make a better version of you (every enterpreneur do this).

    11) EVERY MORNING THINK ABOUT THIS (thanks Steve Jobs):

-"If today were the last day of my life, would i wanna do what i am about to do today? And whenever the answer is no for too many days in arow, i know i need to change something" - Steve Jobs

-"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else'slife. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary." - Steve Jobs

    12) LISTEN MORE TO YOUR GUT like Richard Bradson says:

    http://foundrmag.com/richard-branson-interview-ideas-into-reality/?hvid=1oQqve

    13) At a certain time (usually in the evening), reward yourself and relax after the hard work you've done in the day, you deserve it.

    14) KEEP A CLEAN DESK: it will help you to be more productive and save time.

    15) When you need to reach a new goal or write a long To do list, always write your goal in some small steps. Then move forward, doing first the hardest task and move then on the second small task then on the third task and so on..

    16) Always be in control of what you are doing, focus at 120% in the present to work smarter without any distraction and say NO to maintain your focus.

SO HERE MUST HAVE APPS AND BOOKS:

    APPs:

    -Evernote

-POMOTODO.com(I use it, works on all platforms, it's very cheap like 2$ per month, awesome)

    -Google Calendar or Google Keep

    -TODO IST or Wunderlist

-TOGGL.COM or RescueTime.com (I've used them both, for your privacy aren't good, they log your data but they work, I only use Pomotodo and also a Todo list on a real paper).

TOP Books for Time management and Mindset:

Eat that Frog! - Brian Tracy (avoid procrastination)

Think and Grow Rich- Napoleon Hill (It's about mindset and how to reach goals)

Getting things done- David Allen (Learn advanced time management and To lists)

The 4-Hour Work Week- Tim Ferris (Mindset to build an online business, btw you need more than 80 hrs per week not 4 hrs to build a business)

How To Win Friends And Influence People- Dale Carnegie (Good to learn some skills for networking = new contacts and new opportunities)

How To Stop Worrying And Start Living- Dale Carnegie (Good for living stress free and manage your life)

Remember: PREPARATION IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS

No I'm not. I've added few links too from Neil Patel's blog and then? So I'm Neil Patel promoting my blog!?? I don't know why every guy here when seeing a link thinks it's spam.
Btw I've deleted the previous links in case some people like you argue about links promoting in threads.
If you need more tips just use Google. However, I hope this thread helped you too in some way.
    Cheers!

Spot on! Was looking to update my productivity list and this is some sweet stuff mate.

    1. 1) GET UP EARLY (5 or 6 AM)
I had problems with this. You are so motivated for tomorrow, but when that alarm clock goes off on morning your mind can easily say screw that, I'll just sleep 2 hours more and I'll be more productive. But you'll already screw the rest of the day if you do.
So I wanted to add a trick to this if someone's having problems with waking up early. Download a smart alarm clock that doesn't go off till you do a math problem or scan some product's barcode.

    10) KEEP ANOTHER PERSONAL NOTEBOOK
Haven't heard about this before. Will add it to my to do list.

Also added Eat that frog and getting things done books to my to read list.

    Appreciated!

Glad you liked this post and I hope you will improve your productivity!

As for 1) getting up early everyday, sometimes it can be difficult, but you need to stay motivated! I just think every evening for the next morning what I'm going to do and so I've a plan and a purpose ready for the next day! Having a purpose will give an indirect "impulse" to your brain that you need to get your goal/purpose done in the next morning! Just do a little thing everyday to achieve your goal/s!

Psychology tricks work when you need to get up early! Also for the alarm clock, is good, I've used an advanced alarm clock where you need to solve math problems, in this way your brain will active itself since you get up. An alarm clock with natural sounds is good to wake up and feel energized!

When you fell tired, stop working, get to sleep for about 20 minutes and you'll get more energy to get work again! If you need a full boost, sleep for about 90 minutes and get ready to work until it's night (our body have a sleep cycle of about 90 minutes per session).
If you need an extra boost for your work, drink (better in the morning) a cup of green tea (best for me) and a little cup of coffee, you'll get to work with good concentration!

For 10) keeping another personal notebook is good for you.
Having the first notebook where you write all your ideas of the day will help to maximize your productivity, you can write all on your first notebook, from goals to deadlines and what tasks have you done in the day (usually I use pomodoro timer for tasks).

A second and personal notebook is good to improve yourself, you write it in the evening and write about your day and what mistakes have you done and how to improve. Each week you'll review all your notes of the week and ask how you can improve yourself. In this way you'll get a better view from all points: health, improvements, time management, goals, acquired skills etc also you'll write long stories about you in one year and you'll see better results, it's guaranteed. Best of all, it's all free, just don't be lazy, work hard and you'll see results.

    awesome post.

i personally use trello.com, which is great for to do lists and is 100% free.

my biggest issue is waking up early in the morning, as i go to sleep very late at night.

hopefully i'll be able to change that in the near future.

Good, I've heard about Trello, I'll try it! For getting up early, you need to get to sleep early unless you need less than 6 hours of sleep. You should start getting up early in the next morning, try it every day and you'll see results, don't procrastinate!

    Very helpful post.

Cheers, I bookmarked it for future reference - waking up early is a big one that I always mean to do, but when I wake up I just feel terrible sometimes. It's easy just to sleep a bit longer and then you feel even more tired.

I should really go to sleep 12 at the very latest, earlier if possible. My alarm is always set for 6am however.
