Hey, I buy a lot of social media accounts and often pay people with crypto and paypal. I usually pay upfront if it through paypal or later if it through crypto. Unfortunately, I fucked up for big money this time by paying upfront through paypal. I paid him through paypal, and blocked me just after receiving the money. I'm using paypal for like 8-9 years, but was lucky to not go through paypal dispute process. Now I have to, but couldn't able to open the dispute due to bizzare bug.

Any tips to improve the scam detectors? Also, Is there anyway to make upfront payments without risks.

What "bizarre bug" do you mean? If you paid through goods and services then you could open a dispute or contact PayPal by phone. The buyer will win 95% of these disputes because it is a digital good and he will not be able to prove that you have ownership over the account.

Other than that, make sure they have positive reviews.

Take a look the seller history sales and clients.

Always buy from Marketplace seller.

Just call them.
This. Before thinking of the future, try fixing the present :) If you sent the money as a payment for goods or services, then call them and work out filing a dispute. You're lucky not paying with crypto :) because that would have been it. Also, try splitting the money into multiple payments if you are getting a bigger package. Like milestones on freelancer, try paying for a part of the accounts, receive them and then pay for the next batch :) It`s safer for everyone and there is no reason a seller won't agree with this if he`s serious enough

One thing learn from IM So you cant really trust anyone online so its just a luck
