How To Avoid Fake CC

A while ago I have used a video from YouTube that was under the Creative commons license videos, However my video got copyright claim and once I checked the guy who have uploaded the video as CC was not the real owner of the video and the real owner was the one who raised the copyright claim.

Now my question, How does one avoid such cases, Because simply using the YouTube filter for creative commons search won't cut it.

Just because a video is labeled as Creative Commons does not mean that the person who uploaded it is the actual owner. You should have verified the real owner. I advice you take it down
