this is a great idea, I was playing around with this back in the days. However, some of the websites reporting in a negative manner are really powerful and rank pretty damn high (imagine something LIKE ripoffreport or something, some site that puts others on blast and has a strong SEO ranking).
It's hard just to outrank them by throwing up some brand new blogs...or what do you suggest for me to do? I like your idea, maybe there is something that you can add to my issue with it
Yeah those sites are a pain in the ass. I've done what I've described above before for clients that were getting bombarded with (unfair and inaccurate) negative publicity.
Medium is your friend, it ranks really well a lot of the time even without any kind of linkbuilding.
This is what I would recommend if you can afford it:
1. Create no less than 15 -20 articles with the kinds of titles that will be competitive against the negative posts you mentioned.
2. Either write the articles yourself or get them made. They need to be good enough, but they don't need to be award winning content.. it's just to try to crowd out those other posts. If you can create top notch (the best quality) content then do it though, why not. But the structure should be lists of features relating to trust, benefits of your platform, awards and recognition, anything promotional relating to trust, safety, reputation etc. Don't make the content cringeworthy though - like too promo here will be so obvious it's not funny. Has to seem organic.
3. Find people on BHW that have a lot of experience with parasites. Hire them to help you rank these posts.
4. Spread them across lots of platforms to have a better chance of ranking some of them and not cannibalising each other. Medium, Steemit, Minds, Reddit are the ones to go for, plus forums relating to your niche if the forums have amazing metrics - otherwise avoid them because they have no chance of ranking. The parasite professional will know more anyway, do whatever they say.
5. Aim to crowd the shit out of the top 10. Get the parasite professional to help you rank them. Pray it works.. it might not depending on these negative posts, but it's the most direct way to solve this without trying to get their posts removed somehow (probably never happening) or neg SEO'ing them (neg SEO'ing other small businesses just trying to make some money is ultra cunty, neg SEO'ing a ratings site that has your site on there with some bullshit that's not true - I see it differently. But I'm definitely not recommending it, amongst other things because it's not permitted here).
If you create the content yourself, this will actually be pretty cheap to try. If you hire a cheap writer and are fine with ok content (doesn't need to be a masterpiece anyway) then it could still be cheap.
