How to automate Apps in Android

Hi, im trying to write an android bot, that performs events inside an app. Ive tried the android app "automate", but i cant figure out how to write my xpath expression or even print out scraped content into the logs. ive also tried the ADB, but it is to slow for my usecase. I need clicks performed very fast based on events happening inside the app. Anyone knows where to start my research? i feel like im just walking in circles.

Hi, have you tried appium? there is also a zennodroid, but it costs money
