Friends dad is a doctor and has a few negative reviews on Google business profile BUT also on Ratemd.

I know my SEO but not too clued up on ORM in terms of how to actually try and push the Ratemd link page down or so.

I know it's all about flooding with positive content but what would be the way to do this in todays world.

Besides requesting more reviews for their Google profile, what would be your way forward?

Sites like RateMD are now difficult to "pull down," but not impossible. Building reputation and expanding assets is a safer approach than direct manipulation. If I were them, I would go like this:

Increase Google reviews
Strengthen their own assets
Produce positive content
 
Create profiles on every medical directory you can - Healthgrades, Vitals, Zocdoc, Yelp. Optimize them all.
These will outrank RateMD over time. Also make a personal site with his name as domain.

I was actually thinking about this but wasn't sure if it will work as its profiles etc. He does have a website, but not using his name in it, so I could create another one page site with his name etc. Thanks!

Where would you produce positive content for this type of industry/business? Sites that actually get indexed and rank. When you search his name, not much online presence but Ratemd is at number 2/3, with the bad reviews shown.
 
It could be your own website
Google Business Profile
Health guide sites
LinkedIn and professional platforms
If you fill the gap with quality and authentic content, negative pages will be pushed down over time.
 
Try to fill the top pages of google with positive pages about your friends dad so the negative one get drop to second page
