How To Approach a Local Business For...

Hello everyone,

I would like to have some ideas about how to approach a local business to start a JV/partnership with them. I have a website on the Auto niche and i'm on a pay per click basis type of income. Not adsense, not a few cents but a few dollars per click. How can i make a proposal that at the same time is attractive to them while i'm still in good profit taking advantage of the volume i suppose i'm going to get ? I don't think i can just offer them like $200/month for such a thing because by doing it i'm sure they gonna kick my butt or ask me if a need a free lunch
For otherwise i don't wanna go crazy on my offer because i'm not sure how it's going to be although i have good feelings.

A few dollars per click? Anything required? I can think of many ways to generate revenue however I don't think it is as easy as you are thinking it is. If they are paying in dollars they want you to buy something or do something. It is probably a CPA not a PPC.

Well, how to generate the revenue is not really the problem. I want to figure the best way to compensate my partners. Maybe a subdomain attached to them would do the trick. I don't think i'll be able to use my own tracking system in this case, where a simple subid would do the trick....

Sorry, but I don't fully understand your question. To clarify... you have a website in the auto niche which is currently monetized by you displaying ppc ads?

You want to approach a local company about a jv doing what? Selling their products on your website? or are you offering this local company advertising space?

Sorry, i'll try to be more specific.
I have a site in the insurance niche. But lets talk about auto insurance only.
There's a big car wash near my house and want THEM to distribute fliers to all their costumes. By the way...my purpose with this is traffic to my site.
I wasn't sure how to compensate them because i don't believe i'll be able to use my own tracking software on this specific site.
So..how to determine the volume of leads they will be generating in order to define how i would pay them ?

Why not just add a page rather than a subdomain? Like yourdomain.com/auto-insurance-specials.html You could just duplicate your home page and just make a couple of changes in the content. I hope this helps.

That's an option too and i would be doing it for every different "partner"...
