How to advertise this business?

I've started a new home business that sells a specific medcine. I was wondering how I could advertise this business efficiently? I was thinking ppc(Facebook and google), Hiring someone to write unique content, Giveaway. I've came up with those three and was wondering if anyone else had any other efficient ways to advertise a new business/website.

Depends on a lot of factors. Are you selling it in a specific locale? Well, then you should aim for keywords in your area. Create a main website with an EMD and upload good articles targeting those keywords. Add your phone number or email id or purchase link at the site and make it visible.

You can use termexplorer for keyword analysis. Then you can create multiple web 2.0s, add unique content and link to your main site. That wouldn't be enough either. Pump a lot of backlinks to the web 2.0s. The more linked your web 2.0s are, the higher your site will rank. The higher your site ranks, the more business you get.

Well my business is to hopefully sell to the lower 48 states. Do you think I should start using local listings around my area and grow like that or just start advertising Country wide?
