How to active dating option in Facebook?

Here’s how to activate Facebook Dating
(It’s built into the Facebook app—no separate download.)

✅ Requirements first​

Make sure:

  • You’re 18+
  • You’re using the Facebook mobile app (Dating does not work on desktop)
  • Your Facebook app is updated
  • Facebook Dating is available in your country

Steps to activate Facebook Dating​

  1. Open the Facebook app
  2. Tap the ☰ menu (three lines)
    • Android: top right
    • iPhone: bottom right
  3. Scroll down and tap Dating ❤️
    • If you don’t see it, tap See more
  4. Tap Get Started
  5. Set up your Dating profile:
    • Confirm location
    • Choose preferences (age, distance, gender)
    • Add photos (can be different from your main FB profile)
  6. Tap Confirm → you’re live

Good to know (privacy stuff)​

  • Your Facebook friends won’t see you on Dating
  • Dating profile is separate from your main profile
  • Matches can only message inside Facebook Dating
  • No posting to your public timeline

❓If you don’t see the Dating option​

Try this:

  • Update the Facebook app
  • Log out → log back in
  • Check Menu → Settings → Location (must be enabled)
  • Make sure your relationship status isn’t restricted by age/location
If it still doesn’t appear, Facebook may not have rolled it out to your account yet (this happens sometimes).

i think it's only avaible on phones, it doesn't work in PC
 
I usually set up this dating feature on my phone; your Facebook profile needs to have this feature enabled in the settings.
 
This feature is integrated into Meta on mobile devices; you can go to settings and turn it on.

That's a built-in Facebook feature, no need to activate it. Just open the three-line icon on Facebook, and you'll see the Dating section next to the Friends section.

To activate this feature, simply find the dating section and start creating your profile. The dating section is in the menu (the three-line icon).
 
If your account is new or has previously been restricted, Dating will not appear. You need to use the mobile app and have some natural activity for a while before Facebook will enable the feature.
