How these types of sites work?

Hi, looking through the links of my competition I came across a great deal of links from sites of this type:

worldranksite.com
topbilliondirectory.com
worldwidetopsite.com
All of these sites look the same, have high DA (checking with Ubersuggest), and the pages they link to have high positions and high PA.
How do these sites get link from google, facebook, googla maps, etc.?
Is it worth putting a link in them? Is it possible to create such a site yourself?

Not really. They are scrapers and they probably got those links automatically.
