How the hell do I do this?!

I have been trying to do this for hours and have been watching youtube tutorials and still do not understand at all what the hell I am doing.

I want to cloak my clickbank affiliate link and post it on my wordpress blog. I used prettylink and when I try and use the link I created it just sends me to a 404 error page.

I I looked it up and somebody told me to edit the robots.txt file in my wordpress but there isn't one.

Why is this so difficult for me?

Just make a url redirect to your affiliate link

For example if I was selling chinese food I would make mydomain.com/chinese-food redirect to my affilate link.

Then just post mydomain.com/chinese-food in your article and when the user clicks it they will get redirected to your affilate link.

That could be a HTACCESS problem, i have had the same problem with prettylink

I never used pretty link before so I cant help much but suggest the above plugin.

Don't be tensed buddy you try to be just calm when you are watching the tutorials and make a note of what you have understood. Then you try what you want to do..
