How the F do I increase my reach?

The title says it all. I am getting incredibly low reach on IG. Have 4k+ followers and my reach is less than 100! Usually even 50% of that is not from my own followers. I have around 20-35% like rate on my posts so I can't even say they are ignored.

I do post pictures from other people with modifications though but I still don't get why my reach is basically nothing.

probably instagram doesnt show your posts to your followers, you could be get shadowbanned. Try to make people comment on your posts and share your posts on your story. Check the number who sees your stories and compare it with the post likes. If the reach is good but like is low that means you should change your content

Yes I learned engagement is counted for total followers. I was looking at engagement rate per reach. So I got around 100 reach max and 20-40 likes on each post. BTW I did F/UF for a while and slowly I'm getting better reach.

I think you could be shadow banned. My personal and gym accounts only have like 600-800 followers with barely any consistent posting and get like 5k atleast reach.

One of my new tiktok account was shadow the other day although it has less down 50 followers. But I usually get average 500 views and as high as 43k view. However, few days ago I got 90 to 100 view I was so angry so I left it for few days and I posted two content a day ago and they both got a thousand view now.


The key point is to leave the account for few days to relax, if you account has fake followers what you are experiencing is normal because Instagram algo do send your content to few of your followers first and then sharing it with larger audience.

And if probably they share it with your fake followers and no engagement from them guess what that post won’t get anywhere.

P.S Try making shorter reels to increase retention rate and check the demographic of your audience and post accordingly with their time.
