How the *** does this domain keep a PR6?

Hi,

This is the domain:

http://www.tueditordigital.com/es/ PR6 (this is thread is not about is PR matters or not)

I've checked:

- Ahrefs: No links
- Open site Explorer (Moz): 4 roots domains:

First one is PR7. So, you get PR6 just from this? Do you think the site used the 301 redirect method some time to get the fake PR?

If no other links, so it is a 301 redirect... It have a fake PR
 
Most likely the 301 direct method mate.
 
Probably fake. I have a pr3 site with 5 backlinks and only a few articles.

Ok. We agree on fake PR, but... how did they do that? This site has been keeping the PR even after the latest update :-/

after the pr update they removed the 301, and now you can see it as PR6 since there was no update yet
btw you can also point google to follow the 301 and humans to see the actual site and by that keep the PR forever. nasty :D

Ok, thanks. Is there any way we can check that 301 redirect? Also, the googlebot/human different redirect takes place in .htaccess, right? So, there's no way to check it from outside the site?

Ok, thanks. But I'm trying to learn how fake PR is discovered. I know there's tools that can do that (Scrapebox), but, what are they based on? Thanks

PR 6 with 3 linking domains?

Yeah maybe if they are from Google.com HP.

Either that or they have 50+ PBN links and are using spider spanker...

I used my brain. That's why I asked in the first place. But, that's not the point... I asked a couple times already how can you check it yourself, as Scrapebox and this site do. I mean, those are machines, not humans, so there's gotta be some sort of way to automatically/function to check it, either looking for 301s or stuff like info:domain.com (which does nor work in this case).

Do you know how that works?

Majestic SEO tests for redirects, if they are still active then they would appear in that.

So they have probably removed the redirects, it is a classic technique to make money out of shitty domains.

Redirect pr links to them, sell them as high pr domains, end redirects and repeat.
