How strict are affiliate networks with allowed traffic sources?

Hi,

Just wondering how strict affiliate networks are with allowed traffic sources?

Most of my current traffic is email wondering if/how I can use the email traffic for offers that doesn't have 'email' in their allowed traffic source list.
