I have a site that is getting some decent hits. The site is an article about my MAIN site. What would happen if I re-directed the traffic (by forwarding the domain name) during the weekends to my main site now that it is getting some good hits... would google find out? What would they do?

Their search engine would "find out," but I don't think there would be anything negative doing this. The only thing that would happen is that you are redirecting your visitors. If you do a 301 redirect, however, Google will think that your article site has permanently moved over to the site it redirects to. You can always take the redirect off though.

or just use 302 redirect ( it's temporary redirect LOL ) :) not the 301 - the permanent redirect ? ...my two cents lol .

Why would I do it that way over just going to go daddy and forwarding it myself?

Yup, I think 302 redirect would be best in this case also:

We didn't know you were using GoDaddy. If that way is easier for you, then that is fine as well. Nothing negative will happen from Google.

The only problem I was thinking about it I just added my business number to the top of the article so it shows up in the banner when people type in my keywords but the crawl hasent come thru yet so it is showing and I dont want to ping... any sugetions?

And if I am using senuke how will the redirect effect that? Will I still keep my current rank?

lol cleverbot, I spent like half hour talking to that damn thing the other day!!

Well, in case you come from a party drunk or ~ and you still don't have enough sleep but you want to chat with the only friend online at that hour, never try to do it with cleverbot. It could take you hours just to realize that you actually are talking alone after all =)

Redirect your users but not the Search Engines.

This way you'll still get all the organic traffic to your site and you won't lose anything in the long run.

Search Engines stay on Site A while users get directed to Site B (site B is your main site :) ).
