How should I start dropshipping?

I've been wanting to try my hand at dropshipping, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where to start? I want to sell through Amazon, but my main dilemma is choosing what products to sell with a limited budget of only $25-30 to start out. Know of any wholesalers for beginners?

Personally I would not go down the dropshipping route, it is not as easy or profitable as it sounds and having to rely on thieves like Paypal just makes it all one big joke. Why don't you look into opening an affiliated amazon website instead.

I've been very interested in beginning a drop shipping business as well. I have looked at a lot of products on alibaba and it seems to be a great source but finding a good company to do work with seems to be tricky. Good Luck!

Make sure you read through all terms and conditions of your drop shipper. One thing that helped me is to set up a phone call with them before you even think of signing up. Also, if your drop shipper was ridiculously easy to find, that means they were that easy for every one else to find as well. Sometimes the best business relationships can be the ones that weren't obvious and easy to find on page one of Google.

You don't need a big budget to start dropshipping. In fact, you need no budget at all. For example, let's say you find a dropshipper who can sell you iPhones $100 each (JUST AN EXAMPLE), you go on ebay, list them for $600 (again an example). When you get an order, just forward the money to your dropshipper and tell them to ship to your client's address.

I did some dropshipping a while ago just from cold calling internet stores. None of them actually offered dropshipping up front, but if you're just charismatic and honest with them and have a well thought out proposal to present you will get a lot of positive feedback. I would encourage you to try this as it's a great way to make sales while someone else does all of the work.

If you want to sell on Amazon you need some money to start. Even if you sold an item, Amazon holds your money for up to two weeks but expects you to ship within one day. So you have to pay for for the item (+shipping).
