If you're new to link building it might be a good idea to learn how to do things manually first (as suggested by akazzz above) before jumping on an automated tool. You'll learn what backlinking is all about, principles, etc. and you won't kill your new domain (if it is new).
You can always start slow and increase the velocity of your links, but once you "blast" it and "sandbox" yourself, you can't go back and start over.
