So I am a graphic designer specialized in logo design.I know the market here is huge but I am not sure how should I promote myself without spending money. I considered Fiverr and platforms like it but I think the payout is way too low for my quality of work.
Do you have any ideas on how I should promote myself?

make your own website, but do invest a few dollars. use wordpress, buy a domain and hosting. it's better to invest a few $ and have your own domain. looks much more professional than cooldesigner.com.tk or some other shitty domains.

You have to invest money, Bro.
It isn't that simple in this era where everyone is spending money on their promotion and you want to get work free :)

Okay thanks a lot for the quick responses, I will create myself a website and try to rank it up high, I have some knowledge about SEO from this forum anyway so I guess I have nothing to lose.

Also if you have time, then focus on local keywords.. rank a website for a good local keyword

Contact your competitors or other businesses in that keyword and rent them your website.

Easy Money

if your budget is limited at least create a web for your portfolio and business as others have mentioned above.

Then just invest as many time as you can, cold emailing companies that do not have a good branding. At some point any might say yes :)

Go where the buyers are going to buy logos, see what sites get the most traffic and follow the pattern.
Check this for reference: https://lmgtfy.com/?q=buy+logo+design+service

Visit each and every site on the first page, if it's a marketplace, register with them and create an outstanding profile. Look from the point of view of the customer and work on things like why would the customer choose you over someone else who's already on the platform for a few years with lots of feedback?

If it's an agency, send them your samples and tell them you can help them free up their workloads and offer them better service at cheaper prices.

Thanks alot, I signed up to a lot of platforms like Fiverr but there was too much effort to start ranking on the first page or even the second one and the payout was shitty. Tried UpWork too but same story, there is even more harder to get a decent spot because everyone is a pro in his/her field.
I will try it out with private agencies, you gave me an excellent idea. Thanks!

I'd advise you make it look good first. The content has to be good aswell, so people that look over your resume are impressed.

Use sponsored ads and drive visitors to a landing page where you'll show them work samples. Easiest plan, but you'll need to be willing to invest.

If it's logo design specifically, create a YouTube channel, do some tutorials, offer resources and packs find a spot in the niche. A lot of what's out there tends to be the same, or dumps of recirculated stuff. There's always room for some new unique players in the game, using other socials is of course key. After you set something like this up, Fiverr and what not feel more comfortable as a passive income possibility, and no one can ultimately predict what may come of it. Access as much as you can, and really focus on building what YOU want to be perceived as/

BHW is an excellent place to start, set up a 'GfxShop' be diligent, and reap the rewards later.

It's hard out here for an artist  my final advice would be to expand your horizons, logo design is the go to thing now a days, there's plenty of things you could add into your design flow easily, such as infographics etc. G/l out there.

Thanks a lot for the advice, I never thought seriously about creating a YouTube channel but now if I think about it it seems like an excellent idea, it is free to do, it needs just a lot of time and effort which I am willing to put on this project.

If u want to promote yourself u have to get money first and spend it on promotion ( there is no free promotion ) beside if u want to invest time then yes, u can start by messaging people like for example website owners not everyone ( business) aka new restaurants etc and get clients.

Avarage rate of getting job there is 3%, so you need to try harder, especially at the beginning. After you get some jobs it's easier, especially if you get top score badge, then even ppl get initiative and invite you to their jobs.

I'm a software engineer but I worked with a lot of professional designers, a few of them are working on huge companies today, including a friend that recently was hired by Booking.com

The way they started was by promoting themselves using personal websites. One thing to be aware is that it's not only about creating your website, posting your jobs there but also about telling the story behind the job, how it was done, the process, the briefing, how you came up with the idea to create that logo and so on.

One advice I can give you is: if you don't have money to invest on your own website with a professional UI and a nice structure (which you would have to pay considering that you are only a designer), you can get started using Behance and Dribbble, there are a lot of professional designers that use those social networkings and better, you can register a domain with your name and redirect to one of those pages.

I wish you the best. Hope everything works out for you.

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it really much. Behance and Dribbble really sound like a good idea, I will work on that.

Exactly, I just look at YouTube myself as a tool to promote, free advertising essentially. At the end of the day eyes are eyes, and traffic is traffic. Not to mention once something is on YT you can make use it of it through your own website, other forums or communities for sharing, etc. Cheers bruv, have a guud day!
