Hi guys,

I wonder what's the best option to reduce the size of my gifs files without sacrifizing quality and size of the image.

I have found I manage a domain which uses 3 gifs in the home page around 10mb each! Which is killing my SEO and my crawl budget.

What should I do guys?

Thanks in advance.

I dont think reducing size will have sizable effect.

Why dont you lazy load gifs?

That will reduce your page size.

convert it to .mp4 it will reduce it up to 5~10x

The problem is I am using slider revolution. I don't really know wheter I can add .mp4 or other extensions to slider revolution.

In case it can be done it wont reproduce automatically the file.

have you tried it?
i'm pretty sure you can

edit: i tried to google it and saw few articles about it.

I wrote it above. Will the file be played automatically? Somehow I doubt it.

I want todo thank all of you guys. Think best option would be changing to video format, I have investigate and it seems is possible to play it automatically.
