How should I mark content on Twitter to avoid labels?

Hi everyone!
I don’t really understand Twitter’s rules, even though I’ve been using it since August 2024. I noticed that my account is marked as sensitive content, meaning all my posts are protected.

Do I still need to tag each post separately if the images contain nudity, violence, etc.? I thought that marking my entire account as sensitive content was enough and that I didn’t need to add other content warnings.
I just got a label on a post—this is the second one in my account’s history. I don’t quite understand how this works.
Also, if I do need to add content warnings to every post, should I remove the sensitive content setting for my whole account to reduce the impact on my reach?

I’d really appreciate any advice. My account is about a porn game.

Your account is fine with the sensitive setting - it's made for adults like you. But by all means, flag funny posts - X's algorithm is very strict, and the second tag proves they're watching. Don't rush to remove the setting; it can protect you from something worse

Thanks for the reply. It’s a bit strange that they’ve only just started paying attention to us.

What do you think, should I take a break from explicit posts and post something more neutral instead?

Last year X did an overhaul on how they mark accounts and introduced labels.


If you post adult content, X will automatically flag your Media as sensitive. If you continue to post sensitive media, X will label your account, which is a permanent label, unless you Request a review and they remove the label, but beforehand you have to delete all of the explicit posts.

You can mark your posts and account beforehand as sensitive but the damage that way is already done. Your posts will get burried, not shown on FYP and more...

If your account is marked as sensitive, Twitter should already flag your posts, but their system still catches some individually. You can add warnings manually, but it won’t guarantee better reach.

How to request account review ? Contact page allows only to request unlock or unsuspend

Depends on what kind of label. For "potentially contains sensitive media" label for example, you get a notification like this:


Click on it, and you will see a "Request review" button.

Yes. I no longer see this notification, I can only see a limited amount of notifications. The one you're thinking about is few days old and I can't see it.
