I don't get what the big deal is with chatgpt, and why google insiders are freaking out over this.
where does chatgpt get its information from? other websites? so isn't chatgpt just google position zero (featured snippet)?
in other words, google already has ai ?
what should blackhatters and SEOs in general be doing right now to make sure they dont become obsolete in 5 years?
Chatbot such as ChatGPT rely on info on the Internet but some areas imo will be human-based, will people really trust a bot that scrapes content from obscure and not known sources for the review of a credit card, a insurance, health stuff or even for a pan for their kitchen?
What about new models and new products of whatever might come out in whatever niche: where will the info come out? There is the need for content in order for a trained AI that traines on the web articles to spit out its bot content, so new products will be incompatible with ChatGPT use.
Also new niches and fields come out continuosly, what if chatGPT was a thing in the years of the boom of crypto or NFT? A very low amount of articles were available in those moments, so no data for the AI to train chatbot, and all articles would have been from human writers.
For blackhatters autoblogging will continue to work for most niches, topical authority given by publishing a lot of articles will still boost those giant AI PAA spam sites and the review (human written probably) will still be searched normally.
Ads revenue for blackhat sites will still be the same.
ChatGPT is good as an assistant but doesn't (still) guarantee factual accuracy, so it isn't certain that people will use it for something that is a bit more than trivial questions and quick info
Just my 2cents.
