Ok gents I don't post all that much but I have had this absolutely just blow my mind now for a very long long time.... Go do a search for "Kim Kardashian Sex Tape" you will see the #1 guy (kimsreve*****.com) who has been SOLID #1 and has not moved one inch since he started in Oct. of last year. The domain is crap, the content is thin crap, his linking profile from what I can see on Moz, SemRush, Ahref's and Majestic is crap... how the hell is he ranking/banking on such a high sought after term for so long???!!!!! I am at a loss

Its on auto pilot he prob was one of the first to rank for that keyword... once its at the top its pretty easy staying there and also people arent really trying to outrank him I guess..

Could not be more wrong on that... the domain was registered in 2014... almost imidiatly after that he is beating out sites like Pornhu* XVideo* and Vivi* 3 of the largest companies in the world and the term has been around since 2006 and is still just as wanted as the day it "leaked"

That's like saying, "how did this guy outrank youtube? it's the 2nd most popular site in the world" LOL. He's not outranking pornhub, xvideo, etc.... he's outranking subpages on those domains that likely don't have any backlinks at all cause he used SPAM to rank. When I see shitty links like the ones he's got that tells me almost immediately it's not a competitive term.

Furthermore, the tape doesn't have the same interest as when it was leaked. I don't care what Google trends says. The only people interested in that tape back in 2006 were people from the US. And that was 9 years ago.

The reason he was able to rank is because it's 2015 and people don't GAF about the tape anymore. That's how.

Just use your common sense and think about any popular movie. Say like Mad Max Fury Road. It just came out so there are lots of people searching for it. 6 months from now there will be exponentially less people looking for it. 1 year from now very few people will be looking for it. Almost a decade from now it's gonna be trickle traffic.

You are relying too much on data and and too little on common sense.

Riddle me this then... the porn industry is the largest on the net correct? Now... with that said do you know what the #1 porn download of all time is... that's right... the "Kim Kardashian Sex Tape"... believe me... this term is still HUGE and generates tons of traffic and I know of many people trying to rank for it with crazy insane link profiles... including myself.... Is there really that big of a difference between the main page and a sub page? Especially when the domain has only been around for a short time? Anyways, I am not trying to be a smart a$$ or anything, just curious is all really. I see he does the whole 301 thing and yes has tons of spam as I mentioned but how the heck does it stay at the top without moving at all... If I had to put money on it I would say he has a private adult blog network with privacy tools where typical
tools like MOZ can't pick it up, therefore you see him ranking, but you can't really sniff out what he is doing behind the scenes.

He could also be blocking crawlers on some of the bigger sites where he has backlinks from. Such as a good amount of PBN sites.
You probably aren't seeing all his backlinks to get a good idea of the power he's got going. Like RabbitKing said.

Look at it like this; Amazon is a MUCH more powerful website than any porn site and yet affiliates can still rank above its innerpages
that rank based only on DA. So yes, you can rank above those inner pages from porn sites with little effort.

If he is blocking crawlers... wouldn't that also block the juice from the link as it is not seen by the crawlers? Is there a tool out there that can see past blocked pages to give a better idea than a site like Moz, Majestic etc...?

Agree. His links look like an exact replica of when I use to GSA blast YT videos then throw a couple 301's in for "good measure". Except I'd usually blast 10-20xs the amount of links cause I was targeting much more competitive commercial keywords. And I'd do some serious second and third tiers (which he may be doing).

The only thing that confuses me is not the page but various statements OP has made. He said this guy has been ranking since October of last year. OP, how do you know that? I see his first wayback snapshot in Oct but that doesn't mean he was ranking in Oct.

According to ahrefs, he didn't start spamming links till May 8th. Less than 30 days ago.

Could he have been hiding links prior to that? Sure, but I doubt it. Why isn't he hiding this site: http://www.kardashian.xxx/ ? Just look how shitty that turd is.

When a marketer has to resort to 98% sloppy GSA spamming that's usually a sign they're not too invested in what they're doing. Nor does it make sense to invest in a bunch of hidden PBN links just so you can spam your site 5 months later with 1.5k links in less 28 days. I even looked for hidden links (directly on Google) and couldn't find any.

OP, are you even trying to rank for this term? You could probably create a tumblr page and outrank him in a couple months with a 3 tiered GSA campaign.

OMG thank you someone actually see's the amount of traffic that one single term bangs down... The part that is killing me is I have a site (very good/professional i might add) and my /kimkardashian/ page has a higher da/pa then his entire domain. The only thing is that we do not spam our domain as it is worth way to much for that type of crap... we are in it for the long term. It just frustrates me (err makes me jealous lol) see such crap tactics stay around for so long and on top of all this now he is tops for "Rihanna sex tape" now as well with his www. rihannarevea****.com same crap. I am not one of those people that report to Google though, I feel if he is getting it done... I need to try harder. DAMIT! LOL

I'm still not sure what that means cause I'm focused on his 1st site kimsrevealed. You can block crawlers from finding backlinks but you can't block Google. And I still can't find any sizable or significant network linking to his 1st site.

Googles gotta find your links if you plan to rank on Google. That's what I've been told all my life by SEO pros. You can hide your links from ahrefs, majestic, etc but they need to be found and indexed somewhere on G.

I still can't find any network like that for kimsrevealed. Antichrist found 1 site which means nothing to me. WHERE are all his other sites? If he has a network it's gotta be somewhere. And I keep trying to convince myself this is a "competitive" term but I can't. Cause I highly doubt 1.2 mil users are searching for kims tape every month. WHO the hell would be searching for the tape? It doesn't make any sense. When something is newly released I'd expect millions of users searching for it. But almost a decade after it's released? 1.2 million people are still searching for it every month? I just can't buy that.

Roughly half are men at: 159,000,000

Maybe there's a small % who are obsessed with Kim and need to watch her tape every month lol but I can't imagine the percent being that high. Like anything higher than 1-2%.
