Well. Shit. My domain has been blocked by Facebook this morning and I can't do a single thing about it.

I've spent the last 2 or so months working full days building up a network of facebook and other social media accounts and pages and using them drive adult traffic to my blog, however today my domain was banned from Facebook.

Here's how it started. My affiliate manager gave me some different banners to try out on my site, this morning when I tried to post a link to my site it came up as saying that it could not share the link because there was content from *imagehostdomainnamehere.com*

I had never had that problem before because previously the banners I was using were from a different host for the image, but apparently this particular host was deemed malicious.

Fast forward about an hour and a half and I'm trying to share a link to my site again. Blocked. *Yourdomainhere.com* has been blocked by Facebook for malicious content.

All my links, across all my accounts, across all my pages, gone, literally within the second I posted.

So far to remedy the situation I have tried all of the following, to no avail.

- Use Google URL shortener
- Use a domain redirect with masking
- Appeal the ban with different facebook accounts through a VPN.

Basically, I'm wondering is it over? Is there truly nothing I can do but hope and hope and hope again that facebook actually checks the ban appeals?

Thanks.

You said you used your own domain redirect?

So you tried a new domain with a 0.5 second meta redirect?
That should work but its obv not promoting your main link.

this happened on facebook december update, super strict 5 posts with the same link results in a ban.

Get a domain and get yourself unscrewed. You're spamming and you're not ready for your domain getting blocked? That's not the way to go. It's always better to either cloak or spam multiple domains. or just have a backup domain. Nothing serious.

I can see Facebook is getting aggressive on security I haven't even log into Facebook and its asking for capatcha.

I'm going to test out the Facebook ad strategy and see if that resolves anything. Will report back if it's successful.

Unfortunately buying a new domain name isn't going to solve anything unless I move my entire site over to it. It's not an affiliate link I was posting but my actual site, and with the amount of branding I've done up to this point it would basically be like starting from scratch.

Edit- Quickly found out the FB ad strategy will not work, this is what is displayed to me when attempting to promote the link-

"The destination you've entered can't be promoted at this time. We've detected that the content of your website might violate Facebook's Terms of Use and Advertising Guidelines. If you think you're seeing this by mistake, then let us know."

It looks like I'll need to familiarize myself with cloaking in order to promote my site on FB any further.

Edit 2- Had some thoughts about this update. Wouldn't it be incredibly easy to spam promote a competitors link and get their domain banned from FB? If it takes 5 posts in a row within a certain time frame to essentially shut down your entire FB marketing network, imagine how easily this will be exploited..

Just grabbed a cheap 99 cent .info to test something. Using a redirect with masking, I was able to put it as my "Call to action" on my FB page. Wen't out for a smoke and it is still there so I think I may have found a solution.

I tried to do the same exact thing with a different domain earlier today though and it showed as blocked. That might be because I had previously posted it on FB though.

Will continue playing around and will report back.

Facebook updates is good news for experience people and bad for fresh man. LOL.
