I'm thinking of making one of those amazon niche review sites to earn money with affiliate products. I

was thinking of outsourcing everything since I'm not very good at writing content. But before I start I was

wondering how saturated is this market and if there are some things I should know? Love the idea of

passive income that's why I wanna do this.

Saturated enough so that every top-selling product you can find has a blog post sitting on first page of Google.

Nothing is saturated every old method is still working its just that it needs some more work and finding low comp niche and stuff like that. New guys are still doing "headphones" and outranking old sites :p

Amazon sites are not passive incomes, they rank and most times they don't even rank. After they rank, any number of things can throw you off the spot. And yes they are very saturated.

The above poster is correct, Google has tried to make it as hard as possible to create a passive income from creating niche sites. New factors are constantlly being pushed as needing to be constantly teaked or added onto in order to maintain a high ranking. Be it Amazon or other sites, plan the initial ranking with easy, low comp keywords and diverse quality links, but fortify it with longer text content, video and other engagement factors on the pages in order to keep it ranked.

hmm I see. What other methods do you guys consider passive income? I thought no one replied lol just checked this

It really depends on the niche you target. Nowadays you can't expect to target a 10K searches broad keyword and expect to rank any time soon, unless you have really deep pockets to compete with the big players.

As of 2018, the best approach for affiliate sites is to go after longtail, low search volume keywords. They have a lot more buyer intent and are a lot easier to rank (in comparison to broad keywords that is, because even longtail keywords require a smart content and backlinking strategy). And the "longer tail" you go, the more unturned stones you can find.

And as one poster said above, 100% passive income is not something realistic, even from organic traffic. That said, once you rank, your job is mostly tweaking and updating, which requires a lot less work than the initial stages of setting up the site.
