How safe are free themes

    Yea more likely there will be encrypted script for footer links.

    It depends on what you mean by safe, most free themes put backlinks to thier sites in the code to get tons of backlinks - you can always remove these manually if you want

    If mine was footer backlink, i won't have minded it that much, but imagine when i upload a theme to my blog, and pop,
    there was google adsense leaderboard 720 * something, and guys, i was mad, the main problem was that this Adsense ad was on the header of my blog.
    This free theme site is use by thousands of people, and i'm now imagining how much that guy that owns the free template website earns per day.
    I'll never take any free themes from that blog again.
