How reliable is statpress WP plugin?

Okay so, for real, how reliable are the stats from statpress (the wordpress plugin). I have a content with a gateway, and 200uv/day and 3000 pagevies/day and no convertions for 2 days now.

Are the statistics bad or what?

only thing I know that's free and good at giving accurate "real person stats" is google analytics

yeah but from what i've heard it's bad for autoblogs, so not for me. Any other suggestion?

Statpress is very accurate.

I "bought" site visits from BHW last week (you can find the post here were I ordered them if you search under my name)

Statpress and the order tally EXACTLY 1 for 1

However, you need to sep out the bots.

200 UV's with 6000 pages seems very (VERY) strange to me.

30 page views per visitor? Nah.

That's BOT's. Statpress should tell you.

Oh - also if it's a subdomain - that's the one time SP has got confused for me. Added the main domains tally to the SD's tally.

Google tool is certainly no better. It does not constantly check the visitor flow of every one and every site on the internet. I've founbd it to be as flaky as any other method.

Has your server gor AWstats? If so enable that. It's raw data, needs a lot of sifting - but captures most things.

PS I used to sell maybe one product a fortnight per website. $25 dollars say - average just around $2 a day per site. Sure there were days one site would sell three products - but on the other side of the coin I had sites that sold sod all for a month. A couple of dollars a day per site for affiliate sales is about right. So if you are selling a product that gives you $30 in coms, a good sales ratio would be one a fortnight.

Sounds crap - but once you have 150 sites making $300+ total a day, then $2000+ a week (close on $7000 a month)sounds a lot better.
Some claim to make close to $8-10 per site per day. I've read their posts on the forums - but never met anyone in real life who averages above $4-5 a day - and they are the GOOD ones who work 40+ hour weeks at it.

Read into that whatever you want.

Yup, mostly, and the right version of Java, and who don't have private browsing switched on, and who aren't using a proxy, and aren't using a shared Wi-fi hotspot..the list goes on and on


Many Linux setups have privacy turned on as standard. Many porn watchers turn it on out of neccessity (though the Microsoft ad tries to tell you it's so you can buy a present for the Missus without her knowing..... they're fooling no-one)

All stat packages are fallible. Statpress is decent though, and AW stats (and the other server side stat packs you can get) are pretty thorough.

They're all free. But then innaccurate info shouldn't cost much should it?

In my experience, the statpress stats are a little off, but I can deal with it.

However, my main annoyance with the plugin is the amount of loading time it takes, especially when I am viewing it from a mediocre internet connection or a slow browser. Do any of you guys have that problem? It's so bad I rarely check my statpress statistics and it is probably just hogging resources.

wow that must be some slow connection, for me it's some 3-4 seconds to load. not slow at all.

seems like it might be off for some 20 people or so but it's okay, now that i know about it. Looks like i'm in for loong traffic building

I have the same problem. My internet is fast but Statpress takes up to a minute to load..............

Jetpack stats give very different figures..
