How reliable is copyscape??

Just how reliable is copyscape?? I know it's a good indicator if my content passes copyscape as unique, but it is really a reliable guide as to what is consider unique from the Big G's point of view?

Let's just say that I have a copyscape premium account and after running articles through copyscape I can still find problems when I run it through free plagiarism checkers. Don't rely on copyscape alone.
 
That is sort of what I suspected, are there some better tests then?
 
Copyscape is a joke, I once sold a autoblog with 10k+posts which all passed copyscape lol :p
I don't know of anything better though :s

I run it through copyscape and then I run it through some other free websites just to be safe. I just type in "plagiarism checker" in Google and use the first two that come up. I don't know why so many people use copyscape because i almost shit my pants after sending off an article to a client that was run through copyscape successfully only to find a different plagiarism checker come up with results.
 
I suspected that it didn't work as it should because I was running unspun PLR articles from 2007 through it and they passed! I guess nothing beats just Googling a few lines of the content.
 
content generating or content spinner or content changer = Quality content ????

I can not believe the above equation.. it is not possible that a content spinner or a content generator can give you a quality content.. please write your self don't rely on copyscape or any content generator or spinner..

I do article rewriting for clients at times. After coming across this thread, I checked 4-5 articles which I had done a couple of days back. Luckily here is the message I got:

Plagium did not find documents making use of the text that you entered.

Though I had believed my articles would not be bad, I did not expect them to be that good. I was also apprehensive of the efficacy of this tool. I then took an article from EZA and checked it and lol, I found this message:

The following 19 documents likely make use of the text that you entered:

It proved that this tool does work, and my articles were unique.
The reason I checked this tool was that it is quite cumbersome to check the uniqueness using copyscape. You have first to upload each article and then do the check, where as here it a simple case of copy paste.

I used to use copyscape a lot in the past too, but it seems that recently (couple of months at least) it's not really as reliable as it used to be...
 
Never really only on 1, try with others, like Shaza said, but I also have a similar client, 10k + blog posts, and it only found 300 as non-unique XD.
