While i'm working on some seo, how quick should i expect any changes in the serp's?

Do i have to wait till the next day, or can it be hourly/instantly?

I don't know why all say 3 -4 weeks, I have heard it all the way from the so called self named Guro's here on BHW and all the noobs.

When I do SEO and I have something that works I can see immediantly impacts on my ranking.. it don't take a day or 2 or 3, it works almost in real time. If I built shit I can wait weeks and maybe some ranking inprovement happen or maybe not.

When I buy links from all these Masters in SEO it can take 3 - 4 or 8 weeks before I see anything because it is just crap in a box they sell.

I'm very aware of that it from time to time can be delayed because the links you built need to be indexed, but it all comes down to quality over quantity, high quality (and I mean really high quality) get indexed almost right away and all other stuff get indexed as per the quality of that link.

Good luck.

Thanks for the detailed response, just what i was after,

I'll add my 5 cent)
In general I take results in 2-4 weeks if we sad about links. But if I have some experiment with social signals it takes only some days.
As I'm write a high quality content it can take very different period of time. Some articles take good position after one week, another - after 1 month. It depends on the strategies.

After a year you make some porn backlinks

I have seen movement in one week or less, and I have seen it take a month. Depends on how fast the links are indexed and how their trust is.

Generally the stronger the link the quicker the update.

If you get a link from a legit PR9 you can probably expect quicker SERP changes than a link from a PR0 on a new domain.

It's all relative homie.

Panther28 - You seem to have enjoyed lots of thanks yet you don't
know the answer to a simple puzzle.

Google it.

Fact is, SEO takes time.. And it's unpredictable.

Your answer was right but I happen to know Panther is a really nice guy and good to do business with.
Those little thanks metrics on forums don't mean anything when it comes to skill.

Matter of fact we even have a nice crew here that concentrates more on thanks and trolling than building
an online business. A lot of people here have different talents. Someone may know programming like a
champ, but couldn't tell you how to do SEO. :)

Through our various talents we come together as a nice resource.

OP - You got your answer ^

Results depend upon links and how quick they are indexed naturally. But anytime between 1 and 30 days should give you a good idea of the impact of your SEO.
