How Protective is Offshore hosting?

Hello Im wondering I was looking into offshore hosting for my websites and im wondering if I have a friend outside the country would it be better for him to just sign up to a host for me since hes already outside or is it ok if I sign up to it? Just curious because ive never tried it thanks!

There are some advantages to hosting outside the more difficult countries.
 
What kind of support is offered? If its limited in the ways of communication I'd be a bit hesitant. Also is there gonna be any language barriers that can make it difficult to carry out support? Just some things to keep in mind. If push comes to shove he can always get a virtual assistant to handle the hosting and host elsewhere. There's folks on fiverr that'll give you a few hours for $5
 
It actually depends on what you plan to do with the website. If its a legit website, you don't really need to worry about it but it has got something to mess with any of the illegal or blackhat stuff, it would be better if someone outside the tier A countries signs up for it.
 
Greatest advantage of offshore hosting is the fact they probably won't honor DMCA requests. It's not safer for hosting adwords campaigns.
 
You can also get offshore hosting yourself from anywhere, just sign up through offshore hosting companies.
