Just wondering. This thought kind of came across my head while I was talking to a friend. With the release of Breaking Bad and the games GTA 5 and Payday 2, I would expect a niche for bank robberies, heists, and/or meth cooking. Hell, maybe someone could seriously make an authority site about how to rob a bank, and have the information incomplete and at the end, have a link to your eBook, "Learn how to rob a bank in 5 minutes for only $24.99".

Hahahaha! I'm sure there's a niche for all of those things. Recently I saw a Breaking Bad meth lab Lego set online for sale. You could even buy the RV for it.

I don't think person going to rob bank will read a ebook and follow it. :D But it looks crazy. Why not you can try it.
Make sure you include a line on your site "This content is only for educational purpose".

About Meth cooking you may risk your hosting. If you are in country where cyber law is very strict, you need to face some consequences.

I wouldn't even mess with it dude. You'll have to worry about all kinds of bullshit. Stick with legit niches, or at least niches that won't send you to pound you in the ass prison.

it could be profitable for the authorities, they get more medals and pay hikes, plus a percentage of the heist

There was a thread here on BHW a year ago, right after the Boston Marathon bombing. The OP had a niche related to pressure cookers. He had a huge spike in traffic due to the sudden increase in interest in pressure cookers, and the dude was nervous as hell.

People are paying money for the idea of crime. Real crime is another thing entirely. For example, I watched a YouTube video a few days ago, supposedly trying to actually build some of the devices, etc... in "The Anarchist Cookbook", a book that I had when I was younger, and now it's online.

Anyways, these "Jackass" wannabees played with the "really cook fireworks" portion of the "cookbook", and I was wanting to see someone make some C4 plastic explosive at home.

Didn't happen. The Jackass wannabees would have got sent to prison. I'm pretty sure there's a provision in the Patriot Act that says that they can do whatever the fuck they want to you if you show people how to make C4 plastic explosive. It's cool when John What's-his-name kills "The Terminator" with pipe bombs filled with C4, but when you make a bomb out of pressure cookers, not only do they put significant effort into killing you, they also take a look at the people that have websites on pressure cookers.

Please note the complete absence of any mention of making money in the above. At best it's entertainment, and at worst it's a life sentence without even a trial.

    Not worth it.
You'll find yourself in trouble, whether it be getting your site shut down, being slapped with a hefty fine, or getting your ass thrown in jail.
If you're looking for a niche to try, this isn't the one.

Best to find a niche where you don't have to look over your shoulder.
But hey . . . If you want to do it, go ahead. Just write me a note from
the State Penn you're in I will send you a box of cupcakes. :)
