There was a thread here on BHW a year ago, right after the Boston Marathon bombing. The OP had a niche related to pressure cookers. He had a huge spike in traffic due to the sudden increase in interest in pressure cookers, and the dude was nervous as hell.
People are paying money for the idea of crime. Real crime is another thing entirely. For example, I watched a YouTube video a few days ago, supposedly trying to actually build some of the devices, etc... in "The Anarchist Cookbook", a book that I had when I was younger, and now it's online.
Anyways, these "Jackass" wannabees played with the "really cook fireworks" portion of the "cookbook", and I was wanting to see someone make some C4 plastic explosive at home.
Didn't happen. The Jackass wannabees would have got sent to prison. I'm pretty sure there's a provision in the Patriot Act that says that they can do whatever the fuck they want to you if you show people how to make C4 plastic explosive. It's cool when John What's-his-name kills "The Terminator" with pipe bombs filled with C4, but when you make a bomb out of pressure cookers, not only do they put significant effort into killing you, they also take a look at the people that have websites on pressure cookers.
Please note the complete absence of any mention of making money in the above. At best it's entertainment, and at worst it's a life sentence without even a trial.
