Sounds like you didn't take this anywhere then? I might start a journey on this myself. The trouble is, there is absolutely no porn production resource or forum online that I can see. GFY is all off-topic or marketing related. I am however pulling a lot of advice from photography forums and modeling forums. Their problem is that when you bring up porn they freak out. I think one day I will sell merch on AZ with "porn is art" hats and t-shirt. One of their tips is "let the model adjust their bra strap themselves, never touch the model", ha ya right.

Anyway, I'd say my go to would either be modelmayhem or Tinder to get that first girl who will do the initial shoot for free. I'm thinking I will even do something like I will pay you a few hundred as soon as the content makes a few hundred. Tough sell of course with no portfolio. Of course the more professional you sound can help as well as going over the exact plan.

honest update: the tinder account that i was using got banned a week later. probably because of the girls reporting my profile. i think if i were to approach this porn studio idea again i'd instead use manyvids.com. that site essentially lets you upload videos and put a price on them. the layout is much better and it's not all niche porn, regular porn can sell on there as well (source: i've bought a few hot clips). anyway, that's the direction i would go. in terms of recruiting girls, well honesty is the best policy. basically you should expect to pay the girls for the scene. i have no idea what a competitive rate would be, maybe a few hundred? the idea is that it's an investment. spend some money to hire a girl and record a clip, then sell the fuck outta that clip and make your money back + profit. again finding local girls may pose difficult. my first idea would be local instagram girls

I honestly just created this account to reply to this thread. I'm also on this project. There's this website called sexyjobs.com where you find female or male "talent" that want to get into or are already in the adult film industry. You pay a fee for an advertisement. Within 24 hours I got about 5 replies from girls wanting to start right away. Going on Tinder is great, but if you want to cut to the chase and start a business, that site a good place to start. From the research I've done, Patriotnews is right on the money. You need to have your paperwork in check and pay the girls a one-time fee. The whole paying a percentage does not work. Guess who told me that? Actual pornstars. I'm also realizing this is a long-term business. You won't make money right away or at all. I've come to terms with that. And those girls treat it like an actual business they're running. They're great at negotiating because they do it all the time. And don't pick between manyvids or clips4sale. Do both. Also, pick a fetish and dive deep into it. Yet if the girl is hot enough, you can do vanilla stuff, but hot girls charge more of course. I'm writing a business plan with a solid marketing strategy. That is the most important part. The adult entertainment business is a business. Be professional about it and do your research.
