Considering its DA = 95, PA = 95, TF=69, CF=71 of https://medium.com/.

Since its a community website does it makes any difference in the weightage of backlink as compared to any other normal website

How many pages on Medium.com?

How are the metrics calculated? What do they mean?

Why would Google make exceptions for community websites? (Although we have been told it does make exceptions for some well known sites, and Medium.com could be one of them - whether this is true, we don't know).

All its metrics you mentioned are good and enough for getting a backlink.
But as said before make sure you get a do-follow link.

Medium provides a no-follow link so that not useful as a backlink
But you can drive some targeted traffic to your site :)

its useful as well ....... maybe not the full power as a nofollow but its a single and you need nofollow links as well anyhow.

Medium gives no-follow link but if you want traffic and leads for your business then It is really helpful.

Even though medium is no follow site, it is a social media site like tumbler, stumble upon, in these sites they give importance to the real user like and comments. So if u post in medium how many members like this google take it as a real user valid it.

Considering the fact that wikipedia provides a no-follow link, i also think medium.com would also provide a good backlink to a site!

Medium.com is trending, people love to share contents on it. The engagement of readers is high. Though it's a No-follow site; the content matters and the people do share the articles in higher numbers if it's written well. I'm one among the regular followers.

Every metric you consider is of the homepage when you write an article with your backlink, its link power would be null to make an impact on your overall rankings. But with time it will be able to give you some link equity.

Yes he is right. have to build both do and no follow links. no follow links too have its own authority go a head

all speculation
has anyone tested? please give experience

Medium is best if you use to post existing Content to make it viral. Linkedin and Medium we can post there existing content to increase worth of content and traffic also

the text anchor and link in medium are nofollow. Maybe it has little influences on backlink building.

You could still get a nofollow link from there, it's not a bad thing, G still sees it and will count the authority. Btw PA doesn't matter as you're not getting the link from homepage obv, your article page has prob PA close to 0.
