I track 4 main keywords

keyword 1 - 3rd dropped to 5th yesterday,
keyword 2 - 2nd to 3rd
keyword 3 - 2nd no movement
keyword 4 - bouncing between 2nd and 3rd

Im seeing a lot of bouncing on keyword 2 and 3, so as the update is still getting rolled out, the serps are dancing (and probably will continue for the next day or so)

Im wondering, as i've only lost a few spots, this doesn't look like a result of penguin (from what i've read) as the losses are fairly minor.

Whenever I have heard about people getting hit in the past its usually from a page 1 result to having fallen off google for the main terms tracked. Other lesser tracked terms seem to take a nose dive.

Some of my rankings have increased, some have dropped.

Just wondering if this is penguin, or just me getting caught in the cross fire from changes other sites are seeing?

Link building for this site has been manual 2.0 when i initially set it up (around september last year)

I have 1 domain 301'ing to it (that domain was only a few weeks old, i changed the brand name, which is why i implemented the 301)

Since the panda update in May my only link building has been guest posting, manual outreach to share my content and interviewing other bloggers / sites.

Here is a little bump

Are you really asking if your site was hit by Penguin because your rankings moved 1 or 2 spots? lol

You're fine dude, carry on.

Are you trolling or something? These minor movements are no way related to algorithm update. You already answered to your question in your post...

That is indeed a drop down..
It has affected mostly Small and Medium Business.
Mostly who have been using paid link services or people who were doing fast ranking.

We were also affected with the recent update and now working to get it sorted out.

Our Rankings dropped manifold ..
Any one who can share some ways to recover is welcome.
