How pagerank enters the economy ?

Hey guys,

Sometime ago, I use to think alot about how money enters the economy, I thought by knowing this, I can go and earn more money from the source.

And today, I'm thinking again, how pagerank enters the economy, so that I can go and find it's source, I know pagerank is achieve by getting backlink from higher pagerank, but where does that higher pagerank gets it's backlink from ? Again, they must get it from another page, but where is the ultimate source.

First I thought, stop thinking about the source of money and just earn from where you can, now, I'm started to think same again for the pr, that just forget it's source and get where ever I can get it from.

But I thought, I would post here and I might learn something new from you guys.

Ultimate source = Google, as PageRank is something they made.

FYI, yahoo also made their own pagerank measurements called webrank something. they discontinued later.. but i dont know who started pagerank first...

also it is funny that google's owners came up with pagerank idea and one of his name is larry page...

the early on websites got it not based on backlinks,but just on type of sites.

there was a time 6 years ago,where a web directory would automatically get pr4 or up.
the good old times.
